Why Engage

Together for a Solar-Powered Future

Solar Futures Alliance is an international organisation bringing together governments, industry leaders, researchers, financial institutions, and mission-aligned institutions to advance solar-led development across the Global South. Our work spans the full value chain of the energy transition, from policy and regulation to finance, technology, and institutional capacity.

Alliance Members and Partners form the core of this collective effort, spanning industry associations, private sector leaders, international organisations, research institutions, civil society, and mission-aligned initiatives committed to accelerating the equitable adoption of solar energy across emerging and developing economies.

Engagement with Solar Futures Alliance takes place through the SolarFutures Accord, the Alliance's structured framework for cross-sector collaboration. Through the Accord, member organisations participate in joint initiatives spanning policy dialogue, knowledge exchange, research collaboration, capacity-building, and high-level convenings across regions and sectors.

Membership is open to organisations and individuals whose work and values align with the Alliance's mission. Members gain access to a trusted global network, structured engagement opportunities, and a meaningful role in shaping the direction of solar-led development across the Global South.

The energy transition in emerging markets will not be delivered by ambition alone. It demands disciplined capital deployment, operational execution at asset level, and structures that institutional investors can confidently underwrite. Through this partnership with the Solar Futures Alliance, New Energy Capital Asia will contribute its Asia Pacific deployment experience to scale bankable, solar-led infrastructure across high-growth markets. We view this collaboration as an opportunity to turn policy direction into investable projects and measurable decarbonisation outcomes.
